As if being an American teenager isn't hard enough already, Berry Morgan's older sister, Laura, has been murdered while working at a school in South Africa. Now Berry must travel with her estranged dad to a memorial service in Cape Town. And for Berry facing everything from apartheid to her own loss may be one stone more than she can carry.
