Being a teenager with an artistic nature is difficult enough, but being a graffiti artist whose best friend and partner in crime has committed suicide proves nearly impossible for Max. Words he doesn't remember spraying mysteriously appear on his murals. He experiences a brutal run-in with a sadistic railroad cop. He nearly drowns while kayaking an especially dangerous patch of river. These are only a few of the manifestations of his grief. David Tredinnik gives Max's pain and bewilderment a touching sincerity. His performance brings life to Michael Hyde's assortment of well-crafted characters.
