THE GIRLS HE ADORED

This thriller would be a challenge to any reader's ability. That's because it's about a serial killer who escapes police custody and kidnaps the female shrink assigned to evaluate him. It turns out the killer has at least six personalities. Among the multiples are Mack, a sociopath; Peter, an 18-year-old blind man; Lissy, a young girl; and Kinch, a maniac who rivals Hannibal Lechter in ferocity. Fortunately, Tom Stechschulte is up to the task. His narration is solid, and his portrayal of multiples is more than accomplished.
