Narrator Rebecca Lowman doesn't need to add flourish to the latest Veronica Mars audiobook because the story carries itself. Lowman does a fine job helping listeners visualize the young detective and her cast of friends and co-workers--though her delivery could be more dramatic at times. Still, Lowman's performance is strong enough to keep the listener on edge as Veronica and friends risk their lives to expose a serial rapist who is attacking young women in the California beach town of Neptune. Anyone familiar with the television show will imagine the cast acting out the story. M.S. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine [Published: MAY 2015]
