MARESSA AND MERLONE

Similar to "Cinderella," this fairy tale stars Maressa, a vivacious princess. She is bored in the castle; her parents can't help because they're preoccupied with their royal duties. Shaeri Richards expresses the richness of her imaginary world well, speaking in a whiny, nasal voice when portraying the grandmother/nanny and sounding very bass for the parts of her companion, Merlone. She even breaks into cheerful nonsense word songs several times. Children 8-12 will enjoy this action-packed journey filled with friendly creatures and exciting adventures.
