DEADLY DECEIT

by | Read by Diana Bishop

Mystery & Suspense • 6 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2001

Not surprisingly, the household is tense as Chloe's trial for murdering her twin sister approaches. Margot, a cousin, observes this sad, dysfunctional family as she copes with her own secret tragedy. She also desperately tries to separate fiction from reality. Diana Bishop's presentation builds tension as each character presents a theory of the murder. Babson and Bishop effectively use the adult twins' relationship to create deception, tricks, and ghosts shimmering from the past. There is little action, but an interesting view emerges of murder from the other side, that of the perpetrator. Cleverly, Bishop keeps her delivery like the investigation and trial--cool, factual, and unemotional. S.G.B. (c) AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine [Published: JUN/JUL 02]
