FINDING HOME

Narrator Mark Hall deftly adds to the fun in this quirky romantic novel in which two opposites literally collide. He does a splendid job portraying macho Gage Morgan, whose life is turned upside down after he has a fender bender with Phoebe Hawley, one of the most strong-willed and feisty women ever to get behind the wheel of an old pickup. Southern accents and detailed descriptions of people, places, and food are presented with verve. In addition to the adults, Hall adroitly creates an array of lively kids. Listeners will feel they're observing two families coming together as Phoebe succeeds in persuading Morgan to help her desperate family and finds herself falling in love.
