Wicked White lead singer Ace Johnson seeks anonymity in Iris Easton's trailer park. They build a passionate connection, but can their love survive Ace's celebrity status and Iris's dream of Broadway fame? Eric Dove and Kristin Heintz voice Ace's and Iris's alternating chapters, capturing their urgent runaway romance. Heintz use a slight Midwest accent to evoke Iris's Ohio background. Both narrators handle male and female voices with care, avoiding caricatures. Dove's delivery of Ace's internal monologues are sometimes too stiff for a 20-something rock star although his deep pitch goes well with Ace's singer persona. The third narrator, Laurie West, portrays the journalist who is covering Ace's disappearance. Her portrayal lacks the character's arch speculation.
