PERIL IN THE PARK Jamie Quinn, Book 3

Lawyer Jamie Quinn is professionally and charmingly portrayed by narrator Carrie Lee Martz. Jamie's boyfriend is director of the Parks Department for Broward County, Florida. At a festival in one of the parks, a private investigator is found dead. Another of Jamie's friends, Duke Brossard, is on the case. Overall, the mystery is well paced and, generally, Martz's performance is also. Her characterization of Duke is annoying--she gives him an exaggerated Southern drawl. But she uses engaging voices and accents for others involved in Jamie's life. She also handles the bantering dialogue well, and her expressive vocal range resonates with Jamie's humor and emotions.
