THE LUNATIC, THE LOVER AND THE POET

This one-man show brings Shakespeare to life as Bedford weaves biographical aspects of the Bard's life with selections from his plays, sonnets, and narrative poems. The selections show the tragic, the comic, and the passionate sides of the genius at his best. British actor Brian Bedford brings his own brand of genius to this presentation as he comments on Shakespeare, and, before we know it, he slips into one of the plays and draws us into the character. Bedford plays the tragic and the comic with marvelous conviction. The single cassette is packaged in a sturdy plastic case with notes about Shakespeare and the program. P.B.J.
