MOURNING GLORY

Grace Sorrentino, divorced Italian woman, seeks nice Jewish widower, ultimately Sam Goodwin, to help solve her need for a secure financial future. But Grace and Sam fall in love, while their children get suspicious of her motives and seek to ruin all. Bernadette Dunne's soft narration grows softer and more inaudible at the end of paragraphs and when expressing the thoughts of characters, requiring the listener to continually adjust the volume. Dunne's straightforward reading follows the ups and downs of the budding romance, the sexual tensions, and the parent-child conflicts.
