TRASHY TOWN

"Dump it in, smash it down, drive around the Trashy Town!" It won’t take but several page turns for all listeners to be toe tapping and joining in on this refrain. Mr. Gilly is the trash collector who cares for his town and executes his job flawlessly. The author duo of Zimmerman and Clemensha has taken the toddler’s experience of watching the trash collection process, admiring the size and machinations of the truck itself, and speculating about the trash collector to create a handsome title for young readers. The gentle crashing and banging sound effects of the barrels and truck, zippy music, and pride in the narrators’ voice complete this appealing recording.
