MERLIN MONKEY LEARNS A LESSON Tales of the Full Moon

Rula Lenska's husky voice is ideal for this captivating story set in Africa. The storyteller imparts a lesson with the monkeys' bedtime story. It's about Merlin who loves to steal birds' eggs. Throughout the tale kids will hear superb sound effects representing birds, animals, and other aspects of nature. Lenska's delivery is emotive when Merlin's mother firmly reprimands him and easygoing as he decides he must have some ibis eggs. The ibises sternly decide to teach him a lesson once and for all by putting gum in their nest to "capture" him. The storyteller's sympathetic voice tells Merlin that a coming rain will free him. The sounds of rain and thunder perfectly blend with the storyteller movingly telling young listeners that Merlin has learned his lesson.
