MORTAL PREY

by | Read by Richard Ferrone

Mystery & Suspense • 11.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2002

A Lucas Davenport audio thriller just wouldn't seem right without Richard Ferrone's reading. After nine narrations, you expect a certain quality and particular style from Ferrone, and you get it. In this, the tenth of Sandford's Prey series, Davenport, attached temporarily to the FBI, leads a search for a master hit man, er, hit woman, who almost killed Davenport and escaped in an earlier saga. There's more action in this latest, and Ferrone is up to it. His voice seems to purr when Sandford ratchets up the pace as Davenport closes in on his quarry. The finale is rather abrupt and a little disappointing, but have no fear, there's bound to be an eleventh Prey thriller with Ferrone at the helm.
