This audiobook is a tale about angels in the sky, and versatile narrator Joe Knezevich rises to the challenge of voicing all these heavenly hosts. In this first volume in the Last Seraphim Trilogy, listeners meet twin seraphim Kael and Brenna Skyborn, who were orphaned when their parents were killed in battle. These winged warriors protect Weshorn, one of six islands floating above the Great Ocean. The remnants of humanity live in these frequently contentious nations. Using a variety of cadences and accents, Knezevich ably creates distinctive voices for the Skyborns and their many classmates and teachers, along with the islands' rulers.
