MISS MATCH

by | Read by Angela Brazil

Romantic Fiction • 10.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2015

The first book in a new series by author Laurelin McGee (the pen name for authors Laurelin Paige and Kayti McGee) takes place in the modern matchmaking world. Narrator Angela Brazil uses her acting skills to great effect, making the banter sparkle and the repartee snap. Business mogul Blake Donovan wants to waste no time going on first date after first date, so he hires Andrea Dawson to act as his matchmaker and choose the perfect woman for him. But Blake and Andrea might not have the same end-goal in sight. While Brazil's narration itself is highly enjoyable, the book's unfortunate use of outdated phrasing with racist overtones mars an otherwise lighthearted romp.
