ENCHANTRESS

Magic and sorcery illuminate an original script written for the New York State Theater Institute, recorded with full dramatization and musical score. In fine folkloric tradition, the shipwrecked seafarer Anton attempts to win the hand of the fair Rowan by prevailing in tests of his mettle set by the Enchantress. Timothy Booth, as Anton, models the quality of performance presented by the entire cast. The actors interpret the script with intelligence and sensitivity to plot and character development. Sound effects remain in the background, providing support for the well-drafted script. The musical score enhances the dramatization by helping to set the tone, especially at dramatic moments, thereby heightening the drama. R.M.
