What would happen if Jesus of Nazareth's testament were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls? How would Christians and Jews be affected? This Australian production tells all. Gold's Christian characters are well developed, enabling Condon to shape them with intonation and accents; the Jewish characters are mostly stereotypes at their worst who are, therefore, shallowly developed by Condon. Still, while marred by bleed-through, and terrible Hebrew pronunciation, Gold's controversial story will cause the listener to think about his or her religious beliefs. M.B.K.
