An e-book and paperback original, this legal thriller reveals the fast pace and unpolished writing (one character flies into a "homicidal, psychotic, and murderous rage") that often characterize a first novel. More attentive editing might have caught the two unrelated but similarly named suspects who create some confusion on audio. Tracks placed more frequently than at the start of each fifteen-minute chapter would have enhanced navigation.
