Author and narrator Plakias offers a specific history of a super-green business venture. Brooklyn Grange is the world's first rooftop farm, and the portrait of this verdant venture taking root in New York City does have its charms. In an earnest voice that also reflects her youthful energy, Plakias traces the journey of this authentic and sustainable project. Indeed, the self-proclaimed "doer" is clearly enamored with farming's challenges, and her enthusiasm is appealing. That said, Plakias's pace tends to be too brisk. Imparting information too fast makes it hard to absorb the timeline, as do the unclear transitions between anecdotes. This audiobook is no doubt intended for a very specific audience, and it most likely meets the needs of that audience fairly well. L.B.F. © AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 2016]
