THE EARTH SHALL WEEP A History of Native America

by | Read by Nelson Runger

History • 22 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1998

This account, by the author's admission, is biased in favor of the Native American view of events. Nevertheless, Wilson has written a fascinating and detailed account of relations between Europeans/Americans and Indians from Columbus to the 1990s in what is now the United States. We are shown the usually tragic intersction of two different cultures that were, for the greatest part, incompatible. Runger's reading of this long work is very good. His endurance is certainly admirable. Clear and steady throughout, he provides an easygoing and engaging conversational style. M.T.F. (c) AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC 02/ JAN 03]
