THE ELDERS SPEAK Dakotah and Ojibway Stories of the Land

These stories are meant to be heard. Gourd Woman and Eagle Heart alternate the telling of them. Their styles are quite different, but each brings the listener a glimpse into the culture and storytelling tradition of the Dakotah and Ojibway peoples. The pride of each storyteller in the lessons of the stories is clear; both their styles reflect the gentle teaching attitudes of grandparents and respected elders. This collection of traditional stories is presented on an enhanced CD, which offers an added bonus to those who access the disc through their computer's CD/DVD players.
