Two senior journalists from FOREIGN AFFAIRS have assembled a collection of essays about various aspects of terrorism (such as Middle Eastern history, local security, threats, diplomacy) written by chosen experts. The material, although timely, is dry by most standards, so having three readers alternate in narrating the short pieces adds needed color. All the narrators work well with history and politics by not overreading or droning. The information is abundant, so small doses would better suit the listener if followed by a novel in the afternoons. Having a woman performing an audiobook so much about intolerance may send a subliminal positive message not possible with a printed book.
