This is the third installment of the author's harrowing series of memoirs, which begins with A CHILD CALLED IT. He tells an extraordinary story of child abuse that must be heard to be believed. Brian Keeler dives into the text with an emotional urgency that makes it difficult to separate the author from the narrator. His delivery makes the book that much more gripping. While Keeler does not have a distinctive voice, he makes up for it with his sensitivity and terrific timing. He acts the character roles without voicing them and uses just the right inflections to convey Pelzer's story. R.I.G.
