THE SHADOW QUEEN

Narrator Khristine Hvam captures the suspenseful moments and complex emotions of main character Lorelai in this adventure-filled Snow White adaptation. Hvam maintains a fierce and angry tone for Lorelai as she travels through the lands, building up her strength and confidence in order to face the evil queen in the ultimate magical clash. Hvam only softens Lorelai’s voice momentarily when she falls in love with the king of a neighboring kingdom, who is also the queen’s huntsman, but then she remembers family members she has lost and hardens her heart. Listeners will absorb Lorelai’s passion and feel as though they are fighting right alongside her to defeat the evil queen and reclaim the throne.
