Hollywood, Florida, attorney Jamie Quinn is back in her third mystery, with narrator Carrie Lee Martz portraying her to perfection. When Quinn hooks up with her old boyfriend, Kip Simons, who's now director of Broward County Parks, everything seems ideal. Eventually, however, vandalism, corruption, and murder intrude on the park. Martz is terrific with the heavy Southern accent and strong macho personality of P.I. Duke Broussard, Quinn's old detecting buddy. Martz also captures the smile in Quinn's voice as well as her nerdy side. Listeners will be particularly amused to hear the usually mild-mannered Quinn engage in a barroom argument with Broussard's ex-wife.
