THE TAILOR OF GLOUCESTER

First published in 1903 by beloved author-illustrator Beatrix Potter, this story of an elderly tailor who snips cherry-colored cloth for a fine waistcoat is elegantly narrated by Sir Michael Hordern, who draws Potter's animal characters deftly, and with dignified restraint. Hordern's clear diction and unhurried pace captivate listeners of all ages as he describes how the tailor is beset by troubles (including an uncooperative cat, a snowstorm, and illness) before being aided by tiny mysterious hands.
