LEADING WITH SOUL

The two authors of REFRAMING ORGANIZATIONS use an extended parable to bring to the study of leadership a wide range of concepts from the worlds of philosophy, spirituality, poetry, and psychotherapy. In the parable, a dying spiritual teacher befriends an overworked executive and probes the depths of his detached emotional life. Even an expert dramatist like Rosenblat can’t keep this audio from sounding like an unfocused dissertation on subjects that seem forced into the leadership discussion. The audio is more of an intimate exploration of a troubled person than an organized lesson on how leaders can lead more integrated lives in today’s business climate.
