OCEANS Learning from the Oceans

This is a series of Canadian radio programs featuring a variety of people who work in or live near the ocean, the "last frontier." Nothing seems to have been edited, so a certain amount of introductory material is repeated from episode to episode. What the speakers, who might be scientists, historians, or Inuit, lack in acting credentials is more than made up for by their sincerity and enthusiasm. Topics range from whales to deep sea diving to the parallels in ocean and space exploration. Sound effects make you feel seaside; books and Web sites are mentioned, as well.
