Narrator Tristan Morris's deep, buttery voice enlivens the newest Jimmy Nessheim thriller. Set at the University of Chicago in 1942, Rosenheim's story is redolent with details of a bygone era--a world at war, 78 rpm records, fedoras, Nazis, communists, and the dawn of the nuclear age. FBI Agent Nessheim is trying to figure out who is working to infiltrate Enrico Fermi's team of physicists to spy on their mysterious project. Even J. Edgar Hoover, the overbearing director of the FBI, doesn't know about Nessheim's mission. Morris gives a solid performance. His pacing his good, and his dialogue voices are dramatic. His portrayal of Enrico Fermi, complete with Italian accent, is alone worth the price of the download. F.C. © AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2016]
