Concluding Nora Roberts's Guardian Trilogy, narrator Saskia Maarleveld once again wraps the listener in the story. This part of the adventure focuses on the romance between shape-shifting Riley and immortal Doyle. Both are resistant to love, especially as the search continues for the last star. Maarleveld masterfully captures each of the six individual characters--from Doyle's Irish accent to Annika's innocent wonderment and to Riley's practical, no-nonsense manner. The listener can easily envision the battles that the characters go through on their quest in the rich landscape. Maarleveld treats the listener to a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy.
