The author intent for this audiobook is to present her interpretation of the Founding Fathers' vision for our nation at a time when Americans may welcome being reminded of what we're all about. However, the fact that her sources include popular websites, encyclopedias, and Wikipedia does not inspire one's full confidence in her discussion. Nelson also narrates, and her voice has an earthy tone that's rough and a little scratchy. She has a hint of a Southern accent that makes her narration accessible and folksy. While her pace is deliberate, she pronounces every word even if she swallows some or trails off at the ends of some sentences.
