Lauren Sweet stalwartly narrates this racy paranormal romance, the second Shifters Undercover audiobook. Marika Paters is employed by the only animal forensic laboratory in the country, where her genius shines bright. Agent Devin Sonder is part of the special team of shifters based in Shedford and is happy to have left LA for the quiet life in Oregon. But, of course, the quiet life is never what it seems--a criminal mastermind is on the loose and must be outfoxed before he can destroy the town. The story lacks a bit of nuance, but Sweet is a gifted narrator who commits fully to the characters. She gives them a sincerity and believability that elevate this listening entertainment.
