Jeff Woodman possesses a voice youthful enough to be the teen narrator of this second in the mystery series featuring P.C. Hawke and his buddy, Mackenzie. The story, told by P.C., involves the duo in the investigation of a serial killer on the Riviera, complete with red-haired female corpses, French detectives, and a host of sinister suspects. Woodman manages the French accents with just the right touch while capturing the zeal in the voices of teens in hot pursuit of the murderer and ending with a thrill-a-minute car chase along the cliffs high above the Mediterranean.
