JUDY MOODY SAVES THE WORLD

Much to Judy's chagrin, her younger brother, Stink, is busy entering contests. Further, her family is not taking her ecological concerns as seriously as she. Nor does she feel she's getting a fair shake as her class undertakes endangered species reports. Kate Forbes's even and steady narration mirrors the seriousness that Judy feels for her many ups and downs. Forbes is straightforward and earnest as Judy's class grapples with environmental issues. Additionally, Forbes is light and fun-loving as Stink and good friend Rocky, and full of pride when Judy's principal and her teacher announce the Giraffe Award recipient. A.R.
