21 WAYS TO DEFUSE ANGER AND CALM PEOPLE DOWN

by | Read by Michael Staver

Personal Growth • 4 hrs. • Audio Program • © 1995

Staver narrates this session dealing with techniques to handle personal anger and offering ways to interact with angry persons. In spite of the inherent negative slant to the subject, Staver keeps the tone positive and upbeat, with lots of humor and personal stories. Dramatized reenactments and audience participation help to maintain interest, allowing a natural refocusing on important points. Staver's voice varies considerably in tone and pace, including well-placed pauses, which help separate segments of material. During some of the audience segments the sound quality drops, and some of the momentum of the presentation is dissipated, but this doesn't hamper the transfer of ideas. Staver's dynamic personality, reflected in his speech and style, directly reflects his positive views on how to deal with anger. P.A.J. © AudioFile 2000, Portland, Maine [Published: DEC/JAN 01]
