WHISPERS AT MIDNIGHT

It's late when Carly Linton and Sandra Johnson unpack the U-Haul at Carly's grandmother's home, and even later when they first run into Matt Converse, the town's sheriff and Carly's old high school flame. Then they discover someone hiding in the house. The sheriff seeks the identity of the intruder and tries to keep her safe; Carly tries to keep mind and body together while finding Matt irresistible. The situation escalates as the intruder tries several times to kill Carly. Kate Forbes brings both action and romantic scenes to life with dramatic aplomb.
