To some of us, Ram Dass (a.k.a. Richard Alpert, Ph.D.) is a name from the past, vaguely recalled as a drug guru of the '60's. If such should be your slant, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Like well-tended wine, Ram Dass has not merely aged, but aged well. Citing insights drawn from his experiences in counseling the terminally ill, he advises us to embrace change as the evolutionary constant in life (and death).
