BECAUSE YOU LOVE TO HATE ME 13 Tales of Villainy

An interesting concept lies behind this audiobook and production: 13 prominent BookTubers (people who blog through videos) provide villainous literary prompts for and responses to the creative short stories of 13 renowned YA authors. The BookTubers include Benjamin Alderson, Tina Burke, and Samantha Lane, and the authors include Marissa Meyer, Adam Silvera, and Nicola Yoon. Author/editor Amerile joins Kevin T. Collins and Julia Whelan in narrating this disparate collection. They exhibit varying degrees of success, as do the stories and responses themselves. Some narration is strong and paired well with the stories, but sometimes the match of narrator and story is rather off-putting.
