CORRIDORS OF DEATH

by | Read by Bill Wallis

Mystery & Suspense • 6.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1981

This is one of Dudley Edwards's early novels of murder and intrigue featuring Robert Amiss. Here, Amiss is a junior civil servant working as personal secretary to Sir Nicholas Clark, a senior bureaucrat who is murdered before we have a chance to meet him. Detective Superintendent James Milton, in charge of the investigation, makes a deal with Amiss whereby the latter becomes Milton's in-house mole. Narrator Bill Wallis has read several of the Dudley Edwards series and is a master of the author's language, pace, and cast of characters. Fans of the Edwards/Wallis collaboration will get the pleasure they expect from this production, and newcomers are in for a most enjoyable introduction.
