Tim Campbell's narration adds depth to this historical romance. Adair Thorne clashes with Cleopatra Killoran, the hellion, from the moment they meet. Campbell gives Thorne a growly, deep- throated timbre, so it's easy to understand how his voice sends shivers down the sassy Cleopatra's spine every time she hears it. Campbell also imitates Cleopatra's "husky contralto" perfectly. Overall, Campbell enhances one's listening pleasure with distinctive speech patterns for all the story's characters from child to adult.
