CRUEL AS THE GRAVE

Part of the"Sheriff Bramlett"series, this story takes place in Chakchiuma County, Mississippi, and involves a recent murder that the sheriff is certain connects to an unsolved murder that occurred three years before. Mark Hammer's voice pulls the listener right into the story and doesn't let go until the last word. The narration is quiet and slow, with long pauses between the chapters that suit the slowly evolving story so well that listeners shouldn't get impatient with the pace.
