This classic tale of a family’s move from the woods of Wisconsin to the prairies of Kansas not long after the Civil War has delighted readers for decades. Now we can be delighted by listening to Cherry Jones’s performance. Her lively and versatile delivery gives voice to Laura, Ma, and Pa. Especially enjoyable is hearing her sing.
