SITTIN' IN THE FRONT PEW

When a strange young woman walks up and sits with the immediate family in the front pew during their father's funeral, four sisters must reexamine the life of their beloved patriarch. Patricia Floyd gives a bravura performance. Her voice expertly and fluidly crosses gender, age, and, most important, regional and socioeconomic variables, all of which contribute to the great diversity of contemporary African-American linguistic styles.
