ASK ME AGAIN TOMORROW

Tough to write, painful to read, Olympia Dukakis's life story is as frank as it is expansive--taking the actress from her suburban Boston roots to the Oscar and beyond. Deeply embedded in her memoir, and crucial to it, is the personal side. Recounting her life in a generally restrained reading, she evinces her innate dramatic flair at pivotal moments--as when, for instance, she analyzes her conflicted relationship with her mother and various crossroads in her professional development.
