HOW I BECAME A NORTH KOREAN

Narrators Janet Song, Ewan Chung, and Raymond Lee portray Yongju, Jangmi, and Danny, three very different teenagers whom fate brings together in a small Chinese town. Yongu and Jangmi are North Korean defectors, fleeing the whims of the “Dear Leader.” The energetic narrators embody their characters with typical teenage angst as they depict the challenges of living through a difficult historical period. Listeners will enjoy moving from one character to another as the chapters jump between their various dilemmas. This unusual set of characters and circumstances will keep listeners engaged.
