TRUE LIES

A love triangle involves a man, his immature wife, and the woman with whom he is falling in love. This poignant love story is elevated by the expert narration of Patricia R. Floyd. Rather than delivering stereotyped African-American accents, Floyd gives each character a distinct voice that clearly portrays his or her personality. Her narration makes the listener care about the most minor character. Johnson-Hodge's captivating novel, combined with Floyd's performance, makes for a treat. P.R.
