Reviewing the careers of Abraham Lincoln, Georges Clemenceau, Winston Churchill, and David Ben-Gurion, Cohen concludes that it is good for the civil to control the military. This fascinating study of iron-willed men is superbly read by Robert Whitfield. His clear and confident voice reads the narrative nearly flawlessly.
