Fans of this series (this is Book 19) enjoy following the life of Mma Ramotswe, a Botswanan lady detective who uses common sense, quick wits, and a natural sensitivity to human needs to solve problems. Audiobook listeners will recognize the voice of Mma Ramotswe and, indeed, all the other engaging African voices that have been brought to life by Lisette Lecat throughout the series. This particular installment lacks the clever detection observed in earlier books, although the characters, as portrayed by Lecat, resonate with dignity and cultural nuances.
