OSCAR'S HIJACK

The tales of revenge in this short story collection are linked by theme, but the producers hedged their bets with a framing device. An escaped convict hitches a ride on a truck carrying Oscar statues. He and the driver bond--by listening to an audiobook, read by Barrett Whitener. The three tales are well chosen and well read. Sound effects make them come alive. The story line allows comic relief to offset the mysteries.
